Eliminate Refrigerator Odour

A cotton ball soaked with vanilla or a box of baking soda set on the lower shelf will eliminate odours.

Un-Clog Drains

By dropping 3 seltzer tablets down the kitchen drain followed by a cup of white vinegar. Wait a few minutes then run the hot water.

Keeping Flowers Fresh

A dash of salt added to the water in a flowers vase will keep cut flowers fresh longer.

Removing Candle Wax

To remove candle wax drippings from the surfaces of furniture, turn your hair dryer on the spot and when it softens remove the large chunks. Use a tissue to wipe away the rest.

Remove Rust

To remove rust spots on wrought iron, use oily furniture polish.

Rid Water or Alchol Stains from Furniture

To remove water rings from furniture, rub the spot with petroleum jelly, let stand 24 hours, rub into the wood. Wipe off excess and polish as usual. Remove alcohol stains with olive oil and dry with a soft cloth.

Un-Marked Floors

Use thick old socks over the legs of furniture when moving across floors.

Removing Black Heel Marks

Stubborn black heel marks can be removed from floors with a pencil eraser or Mr Clean Eraser.

Remove Window Grease

Any cola will remove grease spots from windows

An environmentally safe alternative to TSP is; Natura SAFE PREP it is a no rinse formula available at Home Hardware. Try all Natura products. Many retailers offer great eco friendly products.
